14valentines is a community devoted to discussing and raising awareness about women's issues. The first fourteen days of the month are for flooding the community with creative works (fiction, art, icons, meta, SCANLATIONS, etc) to bring attention and people, who will (hopefully) stick around for the second half of the month to engage in the discussions.

You can choose to participate on as many or as few days as you want. Just post to the 14valentines community with a link to your contribution on that day. On your website/LJ/blog/bluefrog/whatever, have a link at the bottom directing everyone back to the community and also to an organization that corresponds with the issue of the day.

Your contribution does NOT have to relate to the theme in any way, shape, or form.

So. I know there are a lot of amazing artists and writers out there. Please consider doing this. In the next two weeks, you could come up with at least one piece? Maybe?

And scanlation groups. I know Vday is a big time for you lovely ladies. Please think about 14valentines. You'll be posting anyway and all it would take is adding a small link at the bottom of your update post.

I love you all, by the way. XD

hm. I posted this in my personal journal, but I thought it might be fun to put in here since y'all are into more fandoms than my RL friends XD

Name a fandom/manga/anime/TVshow/bookseries/etc and I'll tell you:

01. The first character I first fell in love with
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't
04. The character I love that everyone else hates
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer
06. The character I would shag anytime
07. The character I'd want to be like
08. The character I'd slap
09. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

EDIT: Oh, and of course this isn't limited to Lavendar Tinted titles. XPP

Hello, you WONDERFUL WONERDFUL people!!!!!!!! I've been searching for you for weeks, hopelessly clicking on dead links, tracking down leads, and feeling that I would never find you!!! Here you are, in this vast wilderness of cyberspace, beloved followers of translated shoujo manga. At last...at long last.

I'm not usually this emotional at all, but you don't know the number of hours I put in to find you.

How can I help???? I read the Brilliant Magic and Reds you did. Reds was one of the best pieces I've ever read. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED WITH THOSE PROJECTS! The fact is, without you I would never have been able to read these. I am grateful.

As for me, I live in the Silicon Valley and have 4 full bookcases of manga. I've also bought a lot of DVR's on ebay of manga. I'm female and my picture is on my website: ladyburningrose.com. I don't normally ride motorcycles at all, but some friends took me on a ride (with me on back) through part of New Mexico. I'm originally a Jersey girl, who relocated to CA as soon as I could get out of the house. Now, I'm definitely a hybrid.

I've now lived in the mountains for a while (Skyline Blvd. in northern Ca), in the city of S.F., and near the beach (and my beloved sea otters and Monarch butterflies) in Santa Cruz. I also studied abroad for a summer. There I got to visit 7 countires traveling alone, thanks to an independent spirit and a Eurailpass. Also, I admit I wanted to prove to my mom that I could not only travel alone, but do it on a big scale. (Didn't I know that GIRLS like me can't even travel from the airport to her house without being escorted???) I also took an October to visit the southwest, hitting all the spots I had heard of but never seen. Most of my friends back home never even go to N.Y., let alone Philly, which was 15 miles away. None have ever heard of manga. NONE! Now you know why I relocated. (Ha! Ha!)

As said in so many manga titles, "Please take care of me." (bow)

If you have the time, please introduce yourself to me. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR EXISTING!!!!!

NEW:: Brilliant Magic chapter 3

YAAY! I love this manga. It's sooo cute!!
I hope all of you like it too. ^^

Oh, and out of interest.... I'd like everyone to fill out this poll:

Poll #431302 Nana Continuation?

Do you want us to continue working on Yazawa Ai's Nana?

No. Sugar Oasis is faster.
No. I like your other projects better. Concentrate on those.
Yes. I read Sugar Oasis, but I'll read your higher quality versions when they come out.
Yes. I don't read the Sugar Oasis versions at all.
I've never read Nana, so I don't care.

Please leave any extra comments you have concerning this issue here or in a comment.

Thank you so much! The choices you make will really influence our decision.

It's amazing! Teh Daisy is back and working of stuff for LT! ::gasp::

::cough:: Yeah... I've been gone a long time, but you really don't want to know what's been going. Let's just say that I've been busy, depressed, and got into another fandom in the past several months (ugg! It's been soo long! Forgive me!!)

Anyway, I've finished editing a chapter and it's in QC now, so we'll get that out to you soonish.

Until then.... here's a little eye candy.
